JOINT STATUS REPORT Pursuant to this Court's order dated May 1, 2007, the parties respectfully submit the following joint status report regarding the status of proceedings before the Air Force Board for Correction of Military Records ("AFBCMR" or "board"). Due to scheduling conflicts of the AFBCMR board members, this matter has not yet been considered by the board as anticipated in the parties' prior joint status report. Most board members were unavailable in June due to temporary duty and vacations. AFBCMR staff decided to refer the case to a new panel for review of this case. To allow ample review time for the voluminous amount of documents, this matter is scheduled to be considered by the board on July 11, 2007. The board will decide on that day whether they require a hearing. If the board members require a formal hearing, it will have to be scheduled with all appropriate parties. Estimated completion for board decision is July 20, 2007. If a hearing is required, the completion date would likely be postponed because of the time necessary to coordinate a hearing date with the parties and to hold the hearing. To allow for the completion of the AFBCMR review along the lines described herein, we respectfully request that the Court continue the stay in this case for an additional 45 days, through and including August 13, 2007.
