JOINT STATUS REPORT Pursuant to this Court's February 7, 2007 order, the parties respectfully submit the following Joint Status Report regarding the status of proceedings before the Air Force Board for Correction of Military Records ("AFBCMR" or "board"). The Judge Advocate General released a redacted copy of the ethics report to Mr. Lopez-Velazquez on December 12, 2006. Mr. LopezVelazquez provided a response on February 14, 2007, in which he asked for certain attachments to the investigation. These documents, which had been omitted due to an inadvertent error by the agency, were provided to Mr. Velazquez on February 26, 2007. In the event that Mr. LopezVelazquez determines that a further response is necessary based upon the contents of these attachments, Mr. Lopez-Velazquez anticipates that he would file that response on or before March 10, 2007. The board has not yet determined whether it will require a hearing, but we anticipate that the board would be able to reach a decision within 45-60 days of any further response by Mr. Lopez-Velazquez. To allow for the completion of the AFBCMR review along the lines described herein, we respectfully request that the Court continue the stay in this case for an additional 60 days, through and including April 30, 2007.
