[5 1. My name is James W. Field, and at all relevant tirne’s, I was the owner of the Desert Oasis

[7 Bargain Center, Mile Post 55, 65524 Hwy 60, Salome, AZ. 85348.

[9 2. On the moming of September 13, 2002 I did speak to La Paz County Deputy Jeff Bolhen, and La

21 Paz County Code Enforcement Specialist Penny Dalhberg, when they requested permission to

g 2,3 inspect my property located at 65524 Hwy 60 Salome Arizona

25 3. On the morning of September 13, 2002 I asked what brought them to my property, I was told
because they had received a complaint about the property at Community Development.
i 4. On September 13* 2002 I asked if they had brought a copy of the complaint for my records
W 5. On September 13"‘ 2002 Penny Dalhburg said no, she would send me a copy after the inspection
was completed.
6. On September 13 2002 I refused to give permission to conduct the inspection until after I was
given a copy of the complaint.
7. On September 13 2002 I said "after I was given a copy of the Complaint being investigated I
would give them my permission to inspect".
8. On September 13, 2002 after my denying them permission to inspect, Ms. Dalhberg became
very agitated, and asked Deputy Bolhen if I could do that.
n 9. On September 13, 2002 Deputy Bolhen told Ms. Dalhberg yes I could and HOW they had to give
me a 24 hour notice before coming to inspect again.
