TO : File
FROM l : Orlando S. Garcia
Investigator
RE : King v. Chase Manhattan Bank
EEOC Charge No. 350.411666
Interview with Joyce A. C orrates
On this date, I Spoke to Ms. Corrales with respect to the above referenced charge.
Ms. Corrales indicated she did not witness any instances of sexual harassment towards CP from
James. She is aware that James hung around her more than usual. She had a feeling something
may have been going on between them, was going to ask CP but never got around to doing it-
James acted giddy around her. She found out otherwise following the questioning of her by R
during their investigation- Ms. Corrales states Mr. Chase Bright notified her of the company’s
investigation. She was not told who tiled the complaint nor who the alleged harasser was. She
believed the complaint was against her based on the questions. Corrales did not learn what was
going on until after she resigned and contacted CP about the investigation. That is when CP told
her about the sexual harassment by James towards her.
Ms. Corrales states she was present at the restaurant lunch. There were about eight other
employees Brom the office. She does not remember their names. They were in all the same
training class together. James did make the comment about CP’s breasts. Others made comments
including her. CP became beet red when the comment was made and asked them to stop.
Corrales says she apologized, others did too. Corrales did not realize what was going on with CP
at the time with James until later. (See above)
Corrales says she and CP became friends when they were hired. They became friendly during the

their hus and’s, women things. Corrales states those discussions were never done around other
co-workers. They were always pro fessionai at work.
