Re: Keith Daniel Priest: Case it CR-03-344-PI·D(-1\Jil—Iit»l, #P-240266
Dear Judge Murguie, `
Thank you so much, Your Honor, for your valuable time and the letter regarding our son,
Keith. The infomation is important to us. Marshall Grizzel informed Keith’s dad that he
is in charge of Keith until he is moved. He said Keith has no case worker. I am inclosing

the Bureau of Prison’s Health Department who said weeks ago that Keith’s health
condition is categorized as a level 4 and that he is to be sent to the Minnesota Hospital.
He has been changed tiom Medical to Housing in the Lower Buckeye Jail and his vitals
arc no long being monitored.
After being denied therapy since he left St Joseph’s December 7, last week he had two
sessions of therapy. Yesterday, Al, the therapist, informed Keith that he is not going to
see hint again until his vision clears, he is no longer dizzy and his balance improves.
How can this ever happen without qualified therapists treating Keith? He is loosing all of
the rehabilitation he gained while in St Ioseph’s. They still rei’use to let him have his
reading glasses.
Please tell me who is ultimately responsible for my son being denied medical help and

The situation is extremely stressful for his father.

Re: Keith Daniel Priest - P240266 · CR—03-344—PI·I}{-M}Il\w[
Please refer to the discharge summary from Barrow Neuroscience Rehab Unit at St
Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. Keith is to have a follow up in +-6 weeks after
lmving on l2·07~06. Please make the necessary arrangements for this examination to
take place right sway as per Dr Albuquerque’s request. Dr Albuquerque performed the
surgery, inserting ll titanium coils into the damaged vessel in Keith’s brain to stop the
bleeding. He is the physician that should give permission for Keith to be flown on a
pressurized plane, because he is familiar with Keith’s case and what might result in
iirrther bleeding in the brain. Please do not jeopardize our son’s health by not following
Dr. Albuquerque’s instructions.
Jackandlbothhavehadexperiencewithpainintltelneadarndearswhileintlight. Itis
excruciating and there is no relief while in the air. Since surgery, Keith experiences
trequent headaches. Ascending and descending both can cause the pain and Keith may
be on a plane that will make several stops before the tina! landingi
Please seriously consider our request. Keith should not be denied medical attention. As
his parents, we cannot do what is necessary for our son at this time. Please see that he
has warm clothing, head covering and shoes before being taken outside.
He had pneumonia only a few months ago and is very sensitive to the cold.
We wish to thank whoever is responsible for the excellent care he received while in St.
Ioseplfs. By the Grace of God and the skilled care he received fiom the doctor, his life
was saved, but Keith has many months of healing ahead.
Sincerely,
Jack and Sarah Priest
