are all true and correct to the best of my knowledge.
In the summer of 2003 I began to make contact with various persons within the Arizona Department
of Corrections on behalf of my brother, Mark Hampton after his ongoing efforts to seek proper
medical treatment had been exhausted through “ADOC Grievance Policy” channels. . _
I made nine (9) attempts to speak to Dr. Stapler with no response.
I flew to Arizona to meet with Deputy Warden Luna, Associate Deputy Warden White, and then
separately with Facility Health Administrator Gene Greely on August 4, 2003. _
Mr. Greeley and I discussed issues ranging from the immediate need for a Liver Biopsy, Orthopedic
Spinal Degeneration, Multiple Hernias, and Chronic Abdominal Pain, to a request for increased food
portions for weight gain. (Marks weight was around 120 lbs. at that point.) Mr. Greely assured me
that certain measures would be taken to assure that the quality of Marks care would improve.
Absolutely no action was taken as promised.
This conversation was recorded with Mr. Greelys knowledge and has been submitted along with a
full transcription to Mr. Hamptons Legal Counsel for the Courts review.
