Comes now Michael S. Reeves, counsel for the Defendant Ronald Holt, and requests that this Court continue the contempt hearing now set for May 22, 2006, at 1:30 p.m. Counsel is scheduled to appear before the Arizona Supreme Court for oral argument on death penalty issues in the matter of State v. Hampton, CR2001-008991, on May 23, 2006. No continuance will be granted. Much preparation is necessary for this oral argument and counsel is attempting to focus much of his time to prepare. Counsel has conferred with opposing counsel and none have an objection to a

continuance of the hearing. Opposing counsel have requested that certain dates be noted as dates they are not available for any rescheduled hearing. Those dates are the entire month of June, July 7 through 14, July 19, July 28, August 4 through 11 and August 28, 2006. Undersigned counsel will be out of the office July 1 through 7, 2006.
