g § 16 anticipation of an appeal, however, in the process of drafting Defendant’s opening brief,
E 2 17 counsel has found that it would be much easier to search for the information on the computer
18 in a cd format rather than page by page in the paper format. After calling David German, court
T9 reporter for this Court, counsel was informed that he would be charged for all the transcripts
20 again, even though he has already paid for them in paper form. During the trial of this case,
21 the Court required that defense counsel share transcripts rather than ordering them separately.
i 22 Counsel requests that this Court authorize counsel to obtain the trial transcripts on cd at no
23 charge or alternatively, that the Court order that the cost will be paid through the Finance 2
. 24 Department of the U.S. District Court, since it will be more cost efficient to prepare the brief _
· 25 on appeal by looking up citations on cd rather than to the paper trial transcript.
