16 Defendants respectfully move the Court for a 24-hour extension of the deadline
17 for lodging the proposed joint pretrial order in this matter, and filing the proposed
18 findings of fact and conclusions of law. The current deadline for both submissions is
19 5:00 p.m. Monday, November 28, 2005. This is the first request for an extension.
2() The parties have exchanged multiple drafts of the proposed joint pretrial order,
21 and planned to meet on the morning of November 28 for the purpose of finalizing the
22 order. During the Thanksgiving weekend, an elderly member of defense counsel’s
23 family developed an urgent health problem that will require defense counsel’s presence
24 on Monday, November 28. Accordingly, defendants request the above-mentioned
25 24-hour extension, and, in the interests of fairness, request that it be granted to all parties.
