Court convenes with counsel present. 30 prospective jurors are sworn. Voir dire examination of jurors. 10:45 a.m. Recess. 11:02 a.m. Reconvene with counsel present. At sidebar. Defendant moves to dismiss juror #2 for cause and Plaintiff moves to dismiss juror #6 for cause. The Court denies both motions. 11:08 a.m. Voir dire examination of jurors continues. Plaintiff and defendant pass the panel for cause. 11:18 a.m. Recess. 11:35 a.m. Reconvene with counsel present. The following jurors are empaneled and sworn: Jurors Nos. 3, 4, 9, 10, 12, 13 and 14 (now re-numbered and referred to as jurors 1 through 7, respectively, for purposes of trial). The Court admonishes and instructs the jury. 12:00 noon Lunch recess. 1:05 p.m. Reconvene with counsel and jury present. Pursuant to stipulation, exhibits 10 through 21 are admitted into evidence. Opening statements. 1:35 p.m. Plaintiff's case: Taralyn Lyon is sworn and testifies. 2:30 p.m. Recess. 2:50 p.m. Reconvene with counsel present. Juror #6 is present in the courtroom outside the presence of other jurors. A note submitted by Juror #6 is discussed. Jury #6 is excused to the jury room. No further action is needed.
