OR ON THE ALTERNATIVE MOTION FOR
. EXTENSION OF TIME TO FILE A RESPONSE TO THE
GOVERNMENT'S SUPPLEMENTAL RESPONSE
TO THE HONORABLE JUDGE OF SAID COURT,
Comes now, Lawrence Jackson, movant in pro-se and moves this
court for an order for the government to serve a copy of its sup-
plemental response of January 18, 2008, or in the alternative
extend the time to file a reply to the supplemental responsel
In support thereof, movant states as follows:
1. On April 7th, 2008 this court ordered the government to
either (1) file a withdrawal of their motion for sum ary dismissal,
filed October 24, 2007 (3137); or (2) show cause why the motion should
not be denied as moot.
2. By and through this order movant became aware that the!
respondent filed a supplemental response(#144) to the motion to
vacate on January 18, 2005 and has not served movant with a copy
of said document.
3. On April 18, 2008 movant mailed a letter to respondent
requesting a copy of the supplemental response to no avail,
4. Movant requires a copy to properly reply to the alleged l
statements by counsel concerning the claims of ineffectiveness. A

5. Movant has been confused by the respondent’s strategy to
‘fi1e a motion for summary dismissal and failure to provide a copy `
of its supplemental response and it appears that the respondent
is using it as a tactical advantage over this pro—se movant.
Wherefore, movant request this court to order the respondent to
provide movant with a copy of the supplemental response (#144)_and
to allow 30 days extension after reciept of said pesponse in order to
properly respond to the supplental response. I
