Estoy enterado de! curso que han tomado los acoutecimientos relacionados cou los
documentos que me fueron entregados por personal de la Procuraduria General de la Repeblica
y a los cuales bice referencia en Ia declaracibn que envie a Usted el 9 de marzo del presente.
Debido a Io delicado que resulta para mi una investigacién del FBI respecto a ia
autenticidad de los documeutos Homeiand Security de fecha 6 de febrero de 2006, asi como del
documento respuesta al miamo, emitido por la Subproeuraduria de Investigaeien Espeeializada
en Delincuencia Organizada de la Procuraduria General de la Repeblica de fecha 24 de febrero
del 2006, be decidido poner a disposicién tada la informacién de la que dispongo reapecto de este
delicado hecho para que las autoridades nortearnericanas lleven a cabo con absoluta
transparencia las investigaciones pertinentes.
El agente del Ministerio Peblico Federal con quien ye be mantenide una relacien de
coniianza y quien me entrege la copia simple de ambus documentos es el Lic. Ivann Villaverde
Garcia. Desconozco cnales sean los metodos de veriticacien de antenticidad de docnmentos que
lieve a cabo de manera interna este rninisterio pi1blico en la PGR, lo que si puede asegurar es
que a traves del curso del tiempo en que he defendido al Sr. Alberto Abed Schekaiban, en varias
ocasiones por parte de dicha procuraduria, se ha proporcionado informacién relacionada con
las investigaciones en contra de mi cliente a traves de los medios legales que emsten para ello y
esta ha re-suitado siempre verezy Hdedigna.
Adieionalmente a Io anterior, declaro tambien que el nombre de la persona que firma el
documento de contestacién de fecha Febrero 24, 2006 y dirigido a la Sra. Lisa Burnett de parte
de la Snbprocnraduria de Investigacién Especializada en Delincnencia Organizada es: José Luis
Marmolejo Garcia, de acuerdo a lo que me ha informado el Ministerio Publico referido.
Declaro que lo arriba descrito es verdadero y correcto, bajo protesta de decir verdad,
bajo las leyes relativas al perjurio de los Estados Unidos de America.

I am aware of the direction the events related to the documents which were delivered to
me by the staff of the "Procuraduria General de la Rep11blica"( Attorney General’s Office of the
United Mexican States) have taken and to which I made reference to in the statement I sent you
March 9 of the present year.
Due to the delicate natnre which this FBI investigation is for me with respect to the
authenticity of the Homeland Security documents dated February 6, 2006, as well as the
document in response to the same, issued by the "Subprocuraduria de Investigacion
Especializada en Delincuencia Organizada de la Procuraduria General de la Repriblica"
(Assistant Attorney General’s Office of Special Investigations of Organized Crime) dated
February 24, 2006, I have decided to put all the information I have with respect to this delicate
event at your disposal so that the North American authorities may carry out the pertinent
investigations with absolute transparency.
The officer at the "Ministerio Publico Federal" (Federal Prosecutor’s Office) with whom
I have maintained a relationship of trust and who gave me a simple copy of both documents is the
“Lic." Ivann Villaverde Garcia. I am unaware of the methods of verification of authenticity of
documents which this public prosecutor’s office of the PGR ( Attorney General’s Office) uses
intemally. What Ican assure you is that over the course of time that I have defended lvlr. Alberto
Abed Schekaiban, on several occasions said prosecutor’s office has provided information related
to the investigations against my client by way of the legal means which exist for that and this has
resulted in being truthful and reliable.
Additionally, I also state that the name of the person who-signs the response document
dated February 24, 2006 and addressed to Mrs. Lisa Bumett from the “Subprocuradur·Ia de
Investigacion Especializada en Delincuencia Organizada" ( Assistant Attorney General’s Office
of Special Investigations in Organized Crime) is: J ose Luis Marmolejo Garcia, according to what
the mentioned "Ministerio Priblico" ( Prosecutor’s Office) informed me.
I state that what is written above is true and correct, affirming to tell the truth, under the
law relative to perjury in the United States of America.
