STATUS REPORT Defendant, the United States, respectfully submits this status report updating the Court regarding the status of settlement in the above captioned case. As previously noted, the internal Government settlement memorandum has now been approved by the authorized representative of the Attorney General. The parties have not yet resolved the
outstanding issue that has prevented the settlement agreement from being executed. Undersigned counsel is awaiting certain
information that must be provided by the agency before the issue can be resolved. On January 9, 2007, the agency confirmed that The Government
