STATUS REPORT Defendant, the United States, respectfully submits this status report updating the Court regarding the status of settlement in the above captioned case. The internal Government settlement memorandum has now been approved by the authorized representative of the Attorney General. The Government's expects that the parties will be able

to finalize and execute the settlement agreement expeditiously. The Government anticipates that, once the settlement agreement is finalized and fully executed, a stipulation of dismissal will be promptly filed. Respectfully submitted, JEFFREY S.
