JOINT STATUS REPORT Pursuant to the Court's order dated December 8, 2006, the parties respectfully submit this joint status report. The parties have completed discovery in this consolidated case, with the exception of the Government's audit of plaintiff's August 3, 2006 claim, as well as the preparation and completion of plaintiff's expert's report. Once defendant receives plaintiff's expert's report, defendant may seek to depose plaintiff's expert. The parties request that they be allowed until June 15, 2007 to complete the audit and plaintiff's expert report. The parties anticipate that they will begin settlement discussions shortly thereafter. The parties request that they be allowed to conduct settlement discussions for approximately 60 days, and that they be allowed to file a joint status report regarding the status of discussions and the need for further proceedings on or before August 30, 2007.
