Court Reporter: David German Appearances: Ryan W. Anderson for plaintiff. Burton M. Bentley for defendants. Final Pretrial Conference held. IT IS ORDERED setting jury trial on Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. before Judge Teilborg. Estimated length of trial is 8 days. Trial days shall be 2/6, 2/7, 2/8, 2/13 through 2/16 and 2/21, unless otherwise ordered by the Court. The trial day is 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with 1 hour for lunch, unless otherwise ordered by the Court. Each side shall be permitted 22 hours to present their case. This time includes opening statement, closing arguments, direct and cross-examination of witnesses and argument on motions. The Court shall keep track of the time and keep counsel apprised of the time remaining during trial. The Court is advised that case against defendant Ren Bidwell has been resolved by settlement. Due to the length of trial, a jury panel of 9 persons shall be selected. Jury selection shall proceed by the strike and replace method. Each side shall be allowed 3 preemptory strike. Therefore, a total of 15 jurors shall be seated in the jury box. Pursuant to Local Rule, the preemptory strikes shall be done simultaneously and in secret. Exhibit Marking Instructions, Time Line and information on Dlectronic/Video Courtroom are handed to counsel in open court.
