JOB TITLE: Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
REPORTS TO: Golf Course Superintendent ·
SU PERVISES: 2"_‘l Assistant Superintendent, Irrigation Specialist, Spray Technition,

JOB SUMMARY: .
I I Supervises and maintain golf course personnel productivity under the direction ofthe _
Golf Superintendent. Assists Superintendent in daily decisions on fertility programs,
chemical applications, mowing practice, daily course set up, and long and short range
planning ofthe golf course.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
I l. Supervises golf course maintenance stat? and setting up daily work schedule.
2. Train. employees on equipment use and construction maintenance practices in
cooperation with standard safety practices.
3. Familiarity and understanding of cultural practices necessary to manicure golf course
and common area turf as well as other landscape in the desert environment of the high
Sonoran desert climate requirements.
. 4. Assists Superintendent in keeping golf course in optimum playing conditions both
from playing ability and aesthetic standpoint.
5. Ensure that golf course maintenance and constmction schedule is maintained.

7. Ensure that safe working conditions are constantly emphasized.
8. Other duties and special projects as assigned. . I
REQUIREMENTS:
l. Must be able to work constructively and cheerfully in an environment that may be
stressful due to adversarial situations resulting from the performance of the Country
Club’s mission.
2. May be required to participate in more than one assignment at a time with frequent
interruptions, changes, and delays. Must be able to remain focused and work
effectively, efficiently and cheerfully under such circumstances.
