COMES NOW PROBATION OFFICER Sharon D. Werner presenting an official report on Steven
Dirk Santos, Jr., who was committed to the Bureau of Prisons on June 9, 2004, by the Honorable Susan
R. Bolton presiding in the District Court of Arizona. A three year period of supervised release was
imposed, and supervision commenced upon the offender's discharge from imprisonment on February
17, 2006. Santos' supervised release was revoked on May 2, 2006, and he was committed to the Bureau
of Prisons for six months. A 30-month period of supen/ised release was imposed, and supervision
commenced upon the offender's discharge from imprisonment on October 18, 2006. In addition to the
general terms and conditions adopted by the court, the offender was ordered to comply with the following
special conditions:
1. You shall participate as instructed by the probation officer in a program of substance abuse
treatment which may include testing for substance abuse. You shall contribute to the cost of
treatment in an amount to be determined by the probation officer.
2. You shall submit your person, property (including but not limited to computer, electronic devices,
and storage media), residence, office, or vehicle to a search conducted by a probation officer, at
a reasonable time and in a reasonable manner.
3. You shall participate in a mental health program as directed by the probation officer which may
include taking prescribed medication. You shall contribute to the cost of treatment in an amount
to be determined by the probation officer.
4. You shall not contact the victim, and the probation officer will verify compliance.
5. You shall not be involved with gang activity, possess any gang paraphernalia or associate with
any person affiliated with a gang, specifically, "Sac City Criminals" street gang.
6. You shall abstain from all use of alcohol or alcoholic beverages.
7. You shall cooperate in the collection of DNA as directed by the probation officer.
As modified on October 25, 2006:
You shall reside and participate in a residential re-entry center for 180 days, unless discharged
earlier by the probation officer and comply with the rules of the program.
Steven Dirk Santos, Jr., was convicted of assault with a dangerous weapon.

RESPECTFULLY PRESENTING PETITION FOR ACTION OF COURT FOR CAUSE
AS FOLLOWS:
A. Violation of Standard Condition No. 9: "You shall not purchase, possess, use, distribute or
administer any narcotic or other controlled substance as defined in section 102 of the Controlled
Substances Act (21 U.S.C. § 801) or any paraphernalia related to such substances, without a
prescription by a licensed medical practitioner. Possession of controlled substances will result
in mandatory revocation of your term of supervision.
Santos used illicit substances. On October 23, 2006, the offender submitted a urine specimen
which was positive for marijuana. Santos admitted to the undersigned that he smoked several
marijuana cigarettes on October 21, 2006.
Grade C violation. 7B1.1(a)(1)(3)(B).
B. Unnumbered Special Condition: "You shall reside and participate in a community corrections
center for up to 180 days, unless discharged earlier by the probation officer and comply with the
rules of the program."
Santos failed to participate in a community corrections center for 180 days. On October 26,
2006, Santos was directed to report to Behavioral Systems Southwest (BSSW) in Florence,
Arizona later that day. The offender failed to report and he has not contacted BSSW or the
undersigned and his where-a-bouts are unknown.
Grade C violation. §7B1.1(a)(3)(B).
