.1y name is Maria Luisa Sotelo Gamez. I am writing this letter in regards to my brother Iugo Salvador Sotelo who is incarcerated at the Florence facility. I am fully aware of rre crime my brother has committed. This crime has been the biggest mistake in his life. Ie is deeply ashamed, embarrassed, but most of all he is very sorry for what he has done he community, to himself and his family. have visited Hugo many times in the past year. By the conversations we have had I can .ssure you that Hugo is very regretful for what he did. He realizes that this is a great ountry and that he has lost the opportunity to become a part of our country and our lives. ill of us now live in the United States, he knows that most likely he will never be llowed to visit this country again. Iugo is the fifth child of seven children in our family. Our family has always been very Jose. Hugo has always been a good caring son, brother and husband. As you can :nagine, we were all devastated when we heard the terrible news of his arrest. He ealizes that he has put his family, especially my parents through a lot of pain. He has DIdme that he is conscious of what he has done and he understands what could happen Dhim. am personally begging you to please pardon him for what he has done. I know that he vill return to Mexico and start a new life with his wife. My parents are devastated, the .n1ything that can console them is his safe return horne.
