1 Q. Well, in the last month, have you seen the

4 Q. And the —— the Christmas party when Jim said that
5 Meritage was phasing out the name, that was over two years
6 ago, right? A -
7 A. Yes.
8 Q. Did Jim say —— well, did you get a sense from j
9 what Jim said that they were doing that immediately?
10 A. Well, I need to back up a little bit. When -—
r 11 when we had the Christmas party, it was two days later.
l 7· 12 Rick had just been let go. We had our Christmas party, and
13 Jim got up, being the interim president, and just very
L. I 14 matter of factly said that we were changing our name. And
15 it put me in complete shock because here I'm —— I‘m the only
16 senior vice president left in the company. Everyone else
17 has either left or been let go. And me being in charge of
18 marketing, this was the first that I had ever heard of it.
19 So I'm sitting at the table with my three
20 employees thinking that December is supposed to be kind of 4
21 the time to, you know, fix everything for the year and, you
22 know, dual up for January, becomes January always comes very
A 23 quickly, and now l‘m —¥ I'm having to do a name change and
24 no one had even said anything to me about it. So I was kind
