As a reminder, Hypercom introduced the latest version.of Term-Master Suite®; version 1,6, With this release, Hypercom now provides Standard Definition File Formats to make avallable all of the features and functions associated with these applications, Upgrading to this new release will allow you to tailor the content of the definition flies to match your company's needs, Hypercom. strongly recommends that you upgrade to this version of Term-Master Suite, and conform to these default formats so that we may better assist you in the future. On June 6, 2002, Hypercom ceased supporting all DOS versions of TerrrplYlaster , TWAS and TMN52. We will be happy to assist you In the conversion to-the current version of Term-Master Suite, shOUld you require assistance. As of January 1, 2002, Hypercom only supports Its Standard polnt; of-Salo applications that are within one major revision of the current version : specifically SpOS , versions 0rSn and 06n (where n represents the sub revision level of the application and the number 5 represents the.major revision level). If you or your customer experience difficulties with applications that predate the 06A revision level, you will be Instructed to upgrade that customer to the latest level, This will ensure that oUr specialists can provide the highest level of support on the most cutting edge products In the Marketplace. In doing so, we empower our customers to do business more efficiently. Hypercom has classified its Standard 266K Software offerings as Functionally Mature. While Hypercom will continue to support these applications throughout 2002 , we will not be offering any enhancements to those products . Hypercom will ensure that this software remains compliant with. card association regulations, and for the transactions it currently supports until January 1, 2003,

Terminal Functions
Use the terminal functions described in this chapter when configuring the ICE 6500 (Dial) and ICE 6500 (Ethernet) terminals.

Initialization Options
The terminal receives its initilization options from the Term-Master host. These options determine the general procedures and data entry prompts. Terminal profile refer to the set of options the terminal downloads from the host. For example, initializing the terminal with specific restaurant options, such as Tip Processing and Server Processing, and selecting the profile configures the ICE unit for restaurant processing.
Some additional profile options include: · · Password protection Security features such as: " · Verify the last four PAN digits Mod 10 PAN check Signature not required

Debit processing such as: - ***No refunds allowed'' Till processing

Customer PIN entry required Cash back
Print receipt

Some of the options require additional data entry steps.
As you swipe the card through the magnetic card reader or enter the PAN manually, the terminal selects the transaction type and displays the name entered in the initialization options for the card range.
