2 And my question is, is there anything
3 wrong with that as a definition of "labyrinth—type flow
4 passage"? And by that l'll read specifically what l'm
5 talking about, quote: The flow reverses direction
6 longitudinally, comma, back and forth, comma, throughout
7 its travel through the passages, close quote.
8 A. Looking at that, that in my opinion does not
9 represent exactly what is shown in Figure 4. The flow
l0 does not traverse longitudinally back and forth. It's
11 just the opposite.
12 Q. But the patent says that's what is depicted in
l3 Figure 4.
l4 A. Is there a question there?
15 Q. All right. lf I understand correctly, you
l6 believe that the passage quoted from Column 4 of the '806
l7 patent does not describe the labyrinth passage that you
18 see in Figure 4?
19 A. That's correct. Because it uses the term
20 "longitudinally" and that's not the flow direction back
211 and forth in that item in Figure 4 —— the emitter in ‘
22 Figure 4.
23 Q. Okay. And that's the reason you came up with a
24 different definition?
25 A. Well, I also looked at Patent '588 again. And
