IN THE UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT FOR THE DISTRICT OF COLORADO Judge Robert E. Blackburn Criminal Case No. 04-cr-00103-REB-04 UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, Plaintiff, v. 4. CHARLES LEWIS, Defendant.

ORDER DENYING MOTION TO EXTEND TIME FOR DEFENDANT'S SURRENDER TO THE BUREAU OF PRISONS Blackburn, J. The matter before is defendant's Motion To Extend Time for Defendant's Surrender to the Bureau of Prisons [#1620] filed June 20, 2008, at approximately 4:13 p.m. After careful consideration of the motion and noting (1) that I have already granted one extension, see [#1565], (2) that there is no apparent legal or factual basis to support the motion, except for the convenience of appellate counsel, and (3) that, as a practical matter, it will probably be possible for appellate counsel to meet with defendant before he is moved, if at all, from the Denver area, I deny the motion. THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED that defendant's Motion To Extend Time for Defendant's Surrender to the Bureau of Prisons[#1620] filed June 20, 2008, is DENIED. Dated: June 23, 2008, at 8:41 a.m..
