MOTION TO WITHDRAW AS COUNSEL AND REQUEST FOR COURT TO APPOINT CJA COUNSEL

Undersigned counsel, and the Office of the Federal Public Defender's Office (hereinafter "Office"), hereby moves this Court to allow the Office to withdraw from its representation of Mr. Curtis. As grounds, counsel states: 1. The Office was appointed to represent the defendant on April 11, 2007,

for a supervised release violation; counsel was assigned responsibility of this representation as well as representation on two substantive bank robbery cases in 07cr-00215-REB. 2. The Office has moved to withdraw from representing Mr. Curtis in the

2007 case because a conflict of interest exists between Mr. Curtis and another individual the Office has represented since 2006. 3. Counsel would suggest that it would be a more efficient use of services to

have one attorney represent Mr. Curtis on both this case and the 2007 case.

WHEREFORE, counsel prays this Court will grant this motion, allow the Office to withdraw from representation of the defendant, and appoint the same counsel from the CJA Panel that is appointed to represent Mr. Curtis in 07-CR-00215-REB.
