MOTION FOR REALTIME TRANSCRIPTS

Mr. Sablan, through counsel hereby requests transcripts of the proceedings in The United States v. William Sablan trial be made available to counsel for Mr. Rudy Sablan on a daily basis in "realtime" format, and as grounds therefore, states as follows, 1. Rudy Sablan is charged with Murder in the First Degree, and the Government is

seeking the death penalty. 2. Rudy Sablan's co-defendant, William Sablan is being tried in the same case, and

regarding the same facts. The matters that occur from day-to-day in William Sablan's trial will have great impact upon the proceedings against Rudy Sablan. 3. Counsel for Mr. Sablan has been appointed pursuant to the Criminal Justice Act, and is

requesting funds for realtime transcripts be made available for the purpose of supplying daily transcript copies to counsel for Rudy Sablan. 1
