In The United States Court of Federal Claims
No. 98-168C (Filed: June 1, 2005) __________ NORTH STAR ALASKA HOUSING CORPORATION, Plaintiff, v. THE UNITED STATES, Defendant. _________ ORDER __________ On May 31, 2005, plaintiff filed an unopposed motion for reconsideration of the court's May 23, 2005, order granting in part and denying in part plaintiff's consent motion to extend the deadline for expert discovery. Plaintiff seeks an extension of expert discovery that would permit it to depose defendant's expert witnesses on June 21-23, 2005. Plaintiff's motion is hereby GRANTED. Because this enlargement will extend discovery beyond the date on which plaintiff's initial pretrial filings are currently due, however, additional adjustments to the pretrial schedule are also necessary. Accordingly, the pretrial schedule is hereby revised as follows: 1. 2. On or before June 23, 2005, the parties shall complete all expert depositions. On or before June 27, 2005, the parties' counsel shall meet and exchange witness and exhibit lists for trial. On or before June 30, 2005, plaintiff shall file the following: (a) (b) A Memorandum of Facts and Law, pursuant to Appendix A, ¶14(a). A separate statement setting forth a list of witnesses to be called at trial, pursuant to Appendix A, ¶15. A separate statement setting forth a list of exhibits to be offered at trial, pursuant to Appendix A, ¶16.

On July 27, 2005, a pre-trial conference will be held telephonically in this case at 2:00 P.M. (EST). The court's telephone conferencing service will contact the parties shortly before the scheduled conference time. Trial in this case shall commence on August 15, 2005, in Fairbanks, Alaska. The parties are encouraged to continue to explore settlement of this matter.

6. 7.

Because of the compressed time period available for pretrial filings, no additional extensions of any of these deadlines will be granted for any reason. IT IS SO ORDERED.
