The parties indicate that (1) they are continuing their settlement negotiations; (2) defendant's property appraiser needs to be deposed; (3) plaintiff will be retaining another appraiser, who will also need to be deposed; and (4) defendant is presently compiling the documents necessary to respond to plaintiff's document request.1 The court is encouraged by the progress being made by the parties. By no later than Monday, September 8, 2008, the parties shall file another joint status report indicating the progress of their settlement negotiations and whether any assistance from the court is necessary. IT IS SO ORDERED.

The parties indicate that plaintiff propounded the document request on June 2, 2008, and that defendant needs at least thirty days to respond. However, because thirty days have already passed since June 2, 2008, the court presumes that the parties meant to write "July 2, 2008."
