PAYMENT OF COURT ORDERED OBLIGATIONS
Payment Options:
· Pay the full amount no later than the due date. · Pay half of the amount due no later than the due date and request a 30-day extension to pay the other half. NOTE: A 30-day extension is not automatic ­ you must request the extension in writing or in person. · If you owe $200 or more you may be eligible for a deferred payment agreement through the Clerk of Court's Office provided you have a source of income. Applications for deferred payment agreements must be submitted within ten (10) days of conviction to the court collections officer. Late applications may require a down payment. A $15 fee is charged to set up and monitor a deferred payment agreement. The fee is required to be paid at the time the agreement is established.

Mail or bring payment to the above address. Checks should be made payable to the Dane County Clerk of Courts. Include the court case number or citation number with your payment. To pay by phone with Credit/Debit card, call Toll Free 888-604-7888; minimum service fee of $5.00 or 4.75% whichever is greater. To pay online with Credit/Debit card, go to www.govpayexp.com; minimum service fee of $3.50 or 3.5% whichever is greater. Pay location code is #5479.

Collection Methods If Amount Due Is Not Paid In Full By Due Date:
· Up to a 2-year suspension of your driving privilege will be ordered for failure to pay. The suspension is not in lieu of payment. A citation for driving with a suspended license is $185.50 in addition to 3 demerit points. A $50 reinstatement fee is charged by the Division of Motor Vehicles to reinstate a suspended license after failure to pay. · Referral of the past due amount will be made to a collection agency which can negatively affect a person's credit rating. · A civil judgment will be entered for the past due amount which affects a person's ability to obtain a loan. A $5 satisfaction fee is required to satisfy a civil judgment after the judgment amount is paid in full. · Civil judgments accrue 12% interest annually from the date of judgment. · Unpaid court obligations are certified with the State of Wisconsin Department of Revenue for tax interception. · An income assignment may be ordered which may cost you an additional $3 per paycheck if your employer is ordered to withhold your earnings in payment of the fine/forfeiture. · An Order to Show Cause Hearing may be scheduled by the court.
