report and request to extend the discovery calendar to the Court.

22 Since the filing ofthe last Joint Status Report, Defendant Carl I. Brown has
23 been diagnosed with prostate cancer and began radiation and hormone therapy during
24 the week beginning October 23, 2006. The treatment will interfere with Mr. Brown’s
25 ability to prepare for depositions and participate in the proceedings as a witness. A
26 statement from Mr. Brown’s physician is attached as E>
Counsel for Defendants has discussed this development with Counsel for
