NO. CR02-193-FJM MOTION TO CONTINUE VIOLATION HEARING (1st Request)

The defendant by and through his undersigned attorney respectfully moves the court

for a continuance of the violation hearing scheduled for July 12, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. The

defendant has been advised that new charges will be filed alleging that the defendant re17

entered after deportation. For reasons of economy it makes sense to resolve both cases at the
18

same time. Additionally, in light of new charges to be filed, counsel needs additional time
19

to prepare for an appropriate resolution.

The government has no objections to the
