University Medical Center of approximately thirty days. Undersigned lead counsel is fine now and will be appearing on behalf of Plaintiffs Jerret, Miles and Allison Mikkelsen and the Estate of Kelly Mikkelsen for trial on November 29, 2005. However, undersigned counsel must travel to Stanford University Medical Center on November 15, 2005, to have a CAT scan with contrast to make certain that there are no problems associated with the replacement of the ascending and a portion of the descending aorta. This appointment, cannot reasonably by changed. Accordingly, undersigned counsel will not be able to appear at the pretrial conference set before this Court on November 15, 2005. Undersigned counsel has given John A. Micheaels, who has acted as lead counsel in this case for a substantial period of time, authority to speak on behalf of undersigned counsel and his clients and in all respects bind his clients at the November 15, 2005, pretrial conference. Undersigned counsel respectfully requests that he be excused from the November 15, 2005, pretrial conference so that he may attend to his medical condition at Stanford University Medical Center on November 15, 2005.
