Re: CR03-974; USA v. Bond
Dear Ms. Pollicino:
I have received your letter of March 20, 2006. Your letter raises many issues about
Mr. Bond’s conviction and sentence, as well as the sufficiency of his legal counsel. Near
the end of the letter, you ask that I appoint a new attomey to represent him.
W" In response to the motion from Mr. Bond, I have entered an order appointing new
counsel to represent Mr. Bond. ln thejudgment in this case has been entered.
I understand from my Courtroom Deputy Clerk that Mr. Bond’s new attomey knows about
the judgment and will therefore be able to lile a timely notice of appeal.
I acknowledge the time and effort you invested in writing to me, as well as the
sincerity of your feelings. At this stage of the case, however, with judgment entered, Mr.
Bond’s avenue for relief is to file an appeal. l am not able to take action in the case in
response to your letter.
Sincerely,
