Dear Clerk of Court:
Since I do not speak English, I have to rely on others to com-
municate with regarding my court matters. Having now reviewed the
Court's Order dated December 7, 2006, I must declare my position
with regards to it.
Most of it is fine, except for the continuation of my former
attorney, Joseph Lopez. First of all, I do not wish to have him
as my attorney, and I am unable to work with him. I do not trust
him, nor can I rely on him to represent my interests properly. Se-
cond, I am requesting that the Court appoint me a new attorney, who
is fluent in Spanish. My knowledge of English is practically non-
existent.
Third, I need to prepare with whoever will be my attorney, for
the evidentiary hearing. I need the Court to instruct whoever my
attorney will be, to begin communicating with me well in advance of
the evidentiary hearing. True to form, if Mr. Lopez is allowed to
represent me once again, he will not contact me until on or about
the day of the evidentiary hearing, and hope to "wing it," especial-
ly since he has a “firm trial date on January 16, 2007 in the State
of Illinois." {Order, at l)
Accordingly, I would like to have another attorney appointed
to represent me, and to have that attorney instructed that he has
to contact me immediately, to prepare for the hearing.
Respectfully yours,
[log; el C (uz, 14%/0/7
