ORDER
DANIEL SAMANIEGO-CACHON,
13
Defendant.
14 15
Pursuant to Defendant's motion to continue, the Government not objecting, and good
16
cause shown therein,
17
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED granting Defendant's motion and continuing the trial date
18
from April 1, 2008, to May 6, 2008, at 8:30 a.m.
19
This Court specifically finds that the ends of justice served by granting a continuance
20
outweigh the best interests of the public and the Defendant in a speedy trial. This finding is
21
based upon the Court's conclusion that the failure to grant such a continuance would deny
22
the Defendant the reasonable time necessary for effective preparation, taking into account
23
the exercise of due diligence. 18 USC §3161(h)(8)(B)(iv).
24
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED extending the pretrial motion deadline to March 28,

2008.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED continuing the competency hearing from February 11,
27
2008, to March 31, 2008, at 1:30 p.m.
