Comes now Counsel and respectfully requests that this Court grant interim payments in regards to the above captioned case. Undersigned counsel was appointed to represent Defendant Ruiz in July, 2004. Defendant Ruiz entered a guilty plea in October 2006 but has not yet been sentenced due to the larger number of co-defendants and the nature of the facts of this drug conspiracy case. Indeed, a the sentencing date has recently been reset to August 18, 2008. It is unknown if sentencing will proceed on that date. Accordingly, undersigned counsel asks for interim payment.
