Pursuant to Rule 54(d), Fed. R. Civ. P., Defendant Corrections Corporation of America ("CCA"), is entitled to its costs as the "prevailing party" in this matter. Defendant CCA has submitted its "Bill of Costs," "Notice of Application for Costs," and all supporting documentation simultaneously with this Memorandum. At trial, Plaintiff asserted an Arizona state law negligence claim against Defendant CCA, alleging that CCA negligently permitted Plaintiff to be repeatedly sexually assaulted by several inmates while on an overnight stay at CCA's Central Arizona Detention Center. The jury rendered a verdict in favor of Defendant CCA. On April 4, 2006, this Court entered Judgment in favor of Defendant CCA. In compliance with LRCiv. 54.1, and as verified by undersigned counsel, Defendant CCA seeks the following itemized costs in the amount of
