a

settlement conference.

The motion is granted.

Counsel request the designation of a magistrate judge to assist in the settlement of this case "at the earliest practicable date after October 3, 2005...." on November 14, 2005. As the parties note, this case is set for trial The court has already made some preliminary

arrangements to travel to Phoenix for the trial of this case, and other arrangements (such as the purchase of airline tickets) must be made soon. Inasmuch as it will be to everyone's benefit for this case to be settled, if possible, the clerk of court will please expedite the processing of this order as well as the designation of a magistrate judge to assist the parties in settling the case.
