Re: RADY, Larry James _
Reg. No. 82482-008
Docket No. CR04—00585—00l—PHX—FJM
l Dear Judge Martone:
This is in response to the Court's recommendation that Larry James
Rady serve his term of confinement at a federal facility in the District
of Arizona, or in the Southwestern part of the United States. The Court
also recommended he participate in the Residential Drug Abuse Program
(RDAP). Mr. Rady was sentenced in your court to a l80—month term for
Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Armed Career Criminal.
i Unfortunately, we were unable to follow the Court’s
recommendations. Mr. Rady has been classified as a high security level
offender, and due to security concerns, he cannot be housed in a
facility in Arizona or the Southwestern region of the United States.
Accordingly, Mr. Rady has been designated to the high security level
facility in Beaumont, Texas. Although the RDAP is not available at high
security level facilities, staff will work closely with Mr. Rady and S _
encourage him to participate in a variety of substance abuse education
and counseling programs offered at the facility. Should Mr. Rady become
eligible for transfer, he will be considered for a facility which offers
the RDAP, if determined eligible under the established program criteria.
Although we were unable to follow the Court’s recommendations in
this case, please be assured of our continued commitment to satisfy
judicial recommendations whenever possible.
Sincerely,
Rebecca Tamez
