Local Rule of Civil Procedure 54.1(a) requires a party to file its bill of costs " within ten (10) days after the entry of final judgment." The Court entered final judgment in this matter on February 12, 2007. (See Order dated February 12, 2007, Docket No. 595) Accordingly, the deadline for filing a bill of costs was February 27, 2007. L. R. Civ. P. 54.1(a); Fed. R. Civ. P. 6(a). Plaintiff' bill of costs, which was s filed and served on March 14, 2007, is more than two weeks late. The ten day filing requirement is a mandatory deadline. Wild v. Alster, No. Civ. A. 01-0479RBW, 2005 WL 1458283 *1-*2 (D.D.C. June 17, 2005) (denying bill of costs in its entirety because it was filed one day late); Dodson Int' Parts, Inc. v. l Altendorf, No. 00-4134-SAC, 2005 WL 1799247 (D. Kan. June 29, 2005) (granting motion to strike and denying costs where bill of costs was filed nine days late); Karraker v. Rent-A-Center, Inc., No. 02-2026, 2005 WL 2001511, at *3 (C.D. Ill. Aug. 12, 2005) (declining to award costs because bill of costs was untimely filed); see also Nyack v. Southern Conn. State Univer., Civil No. 3:03-CV-839 (TPS), 2007 WL 162723 (D. Conn. Jan. 17, 2007) (declining to consider untimely bill of costs where party believed request for extension of time to appeal tolled time for filing of bill of costs). Although the Court directed counsel " file any post trial motions not later than to 3/16/07"(Minute Entry, Docket No. 589), a bill of costs is not a post-trial motion. Accordingly, plaintiff'bill of costs should be stricken as untimely. s
