As you now know our law firm represents Verve L.L.C. ("Verve"). Verve is the owner by
I assignment of United States Patent Numbers 4,678,895 (the "895 Patent") and 4,562,340 (the "340
~ Patent"). It has come to our attention that Hypercom Corporation ("Hypercom") is selling or has sold
payment terminals (e. g., T7 Series) which are infringing both the "895 Patent"and the "340 Patent".
I Therefore, please find enclosed a copy of both First Amended Complaint and Jury Demand and
Second Amended Complaint and Jury Demand filed in the U.S. District Court in the Eastem District
I of Michigan. Please note that these Complaints have not yet been served.
We look forward to working with Hypercom to resolve this matter.
