16 ‘ On December 15, 2004, Defendant Ward tiled a Motion for Summary
17 Judgment (Doc. # 26), that, if granted, would dispose of all claims against
18 Defendant-Ward on the basis of qualified immunity} Plaintiff requested an
19 extension of time to respond (Doc. # 29), which the Court granted (Doc. # 32).
20 Plaintiff then requested a stay of time to respond (Doc. # 34), which the Court
21 granted (Doc. # 37). Plaintiff requested another stay (Doc. # 38), which the Court
22 denied (Doc. # 40). This Order was returned as undetiverable (Doc. # 41).
23 The Court then ordered Plaintiff to show cause for his failure to respond to
24 Defendant’s Motion for Summary Judgment, waming Plaintiff that the action could
_ 25 be dismissed with prejudice pursuant to Local Rule (Civil) 7.2(i) (Doc. # 42). This
26 Order was retumed as undeliverable (Doc. # 43). Accordingty,
