g I Hey, Mark. This is Pete Heuser. Uhni,'I, ah, I recognize with the time difference you’d
probably be, be gone. But, and I’d rather talk to you about this than leave a voice mail, but, uhm,
my client says that they will settle this case for a * * * , prompt cash payment.
So, surprise to me, but you never know about these things. Uhm, they would, of course, require
the terms to be confidential, uh, but it would in effect be a paid—up license for Phelps Dodge
i' Company. So, uhm, and l guess that’s regardless of what happens in the PTO. So, check with
your client, if you would, and let me know if that’s acceptable by e-mail or by voice mail. I’m in
depositions this week, so l’m going to be tied up for the next day and a half. I’lI be in the office
Thursday afternoon and Friday. But, uh, let me know as quickly as you can. I don’t have a
deadline but, hopefully, you can let me know in the next couple of days. Thank you very much.
503—224-6655. Uh, this is made for settlement purposes and should not be considered to be
admissible. Thank you, Mark. Bye.
