16 25, 2008. The United States informs the Court that during the 30-day comment period, the 17 United States received three public comments to the proposed Consent Decree. One of those 18 comments was received from the Navajo Nation on the last day for submitting public comments. 19 The United States is evaluating and considering the effects of those comments on the proposed 20 Consent Decree and a potential resolution. The United States is working with defendants in an 21 attempt to address the comments. The United States requests additional time up through 22 September 30, 2008, within which to file a motion to enter the Consent Decree with the Court. 23 Respectfully submitted this 25th day of August, 2008. 24 DIANE J.
