2 7.1. The court will not entertain motions to compel discovery, motions for
3 sanctions, motions for protective orders, or the like unless and until there
4 has been compliance ·with the following procedure: In the event of a
5 dispute over- discovery, the parties must confer in good faith, in
5 person or by telephone, and attempt to resolve the dispute. Rule
v 37(a), Federal Rules of Civil Procedure; Civil Rule 7.26), Rules of
a Practice of the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona ("Local A
9 Rules *9. lf the dispute remains unresolved, the parties must arrange
10 and participate in a telephonic conference with the undersigned _
11 judge prior to bringing any discovery motions.
