COMES NOW the plaintiff, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, by and through its counsel, Karen P. Hewitt, United States Attorney, and Sherri W. Hobson, Assistant United States Attorney, and hereby moves this court for an order shortening time to allow the filing of the Government's response to defendant's motions for discovery. The defendant's discovery motion was filed on July 10, 2008, over one month ago, and was sent to another Assistant United States Attorney Rebecca Kanter and the current prosecutors, Sherri Walker Hobson and Michelle Pettitt were not aware of this until we were notified by the Court's Clerk. AUSA Hobson was out of the jurisdiction yesterday and was not able file its response today, August 13. The motion hearing is set for August 14 at 9 a.m. DATED: August 13, 2008.
