You will note that the indictment charges that the various crimes charged were committed on or about various dates. The government must prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the defendant whose case you are considering committed the crime reasonably near those dates. It is not necessary for the government to prove that the offenses were committed precisely on the dates charged.
