IN THE UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT FOR THE DISTRICT OF COLORADO Judge Robert E. Blackburn Civil Case No. 04-cv-01067-REB-CBS WILLIAM R. CADORNA, Plaintiff, v. THE CITY AND COUNTY OF DENVER, COLORADO, a municipal corporation, Defendants. MINUTE ORDER1

The Unopposed Motion By Plaintiff for Additional One-Day Extension of Jury Instructions, Verdict Forms, Statements of Claims, and Jury Instruction Briefs [#110] filed May 24, 2006, is GRANTED.2 The parties shall have until May 25, 2006, in which to submit their proposed jury instructions, proposed verdict forms, statements of claims to the jury, and the jury instruction briefs. Dated: May 24, 2006 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This m inute order is issued pursuant to the express authority of the Honorable Robert E. Blackburn, United States District Judge for the District of Colorado. Counsel's im pending fam ily obligations are sufficient in and of them selves to have warranted the brief extension he seeks here. The rem ainder of his tim e would have been better spent actually working on plaintiff's proposed jury instructions, rather than in drafting a Faulknerian m using on the perceived infirm ities of m odern federal constitutional litigation and the judicial system in general. Such spleen venting is unwarranted and inappropriate.
