IN THE UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT FOR THE DISTRICT OF COLORADO Judge John L. Kane Civil Action No. 04-cv-01143-JLK DOLLY LAU, Plaintiff, v. ALLSTATE INSURANCE COMPANY, Defendant.
MINUTE ORDER Judge John L. Kane ORDERS There has been a spate of post-trial motions filed in this insured motorist action, some of which have been filed twice as a result of formatting or other errors. These motions include competing Motions for Costs (Docs. 77 (premised on Fed. R. Civ. P. 54) & 82 (premised on the cost-shifting provisions of Fed. R. Civ. P. 68)), Plaintiff' Motion s for Attorney Fees (Doc. 75), Plaintiff' Motion for prejudgment interest and for a s " quantification of Jury Verdict"(Doc. 74), and Plaintiff' Motion for Sanctions (Doc. s 78). The parties are discouraged from any further escalation of the apparent disharmony between them on post-trial matters and are encouraged to resolve these matters informally. To the extent they cannot do so, however, the parties shall file responses to the various Motions on or before March 3, 2006, and the Motions will be set for hearing. If it appears at the hearing that any of the Motions were frivolous or groundless as filed, sanctions may be imposed.
