IN THE UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT FOR THE DISTRICT OF COLORADO

Civil Action No. 01-cv-1451-REB-CBS (Consolidated with Civil Action Nos. 01-RB-1472, 01-RB-1527, 01-RB-1616, 01-RB1799, 01-RB-1930, 01-RB-2083, 02-RB-0333, 02-RB-0374, 02-RB-0507, 02-RB-0658 02-RB-755, 02-RB-798, and 02-RB-238) In re QWEST COMMUNICATIONS INTERNATIONAL INC. SECURITIES LITIGATION

QWEST COMMUNICATIONS INTERNATIONAL INC.'S UNOPPOSED MOTION FOR LEAVE TO FILE AN OVERSIZED BRIEF IN SUPPORT OF ITS OPPOSITION TO LEAD PLAINTIFFS' MOTION FOR CLASS CERTIFICATION.

Qwest Communications International Inc. ("Qwest") submits this unopposed motion for leave to file an oversized brief in support of its Opposition to Lead Plaintiffs' Motion for Class Certification. This relief is appropriate for the following reasons: 1. Pursuant to D.C. Colo. L. Civ. R. 7.1 (A), undersigned counsel for Qwest

certify that they have conferred with Lead Counsel and have been authorized to represent to the Court that Lead Plaintiffs does not oppose this motion. Counsel for Qwest also consents to a 10-page extension of the page limit for Lead Plaintiffs' reply brief in support of their motion for class certification. 2. Lead Plaintiffs' Motion for Class Certification raises a number of complex

issues, and resolution of the motion is of the utmost importance to Qwest. In order to

fully and adequately respond to the motion, Qwest needs more than the 15 pages typically allowed for routine motions. 3. In addition, the comprehensive opposition that Qwest seeks to submit

provides efficiencies. Qwest expects many of the individual defendants will be able to join in its opposition with little or no additional briefing. This will save the Court and parties the inconvenience of reading multiple briefs on similar subjects. 4. Qwest endeavored to limit the size of its opposition and has submitted a

25-page brief, which is reasonable given the complexity and importance of the issues raised by Lead Plaintiffs' Motion for Class Certification. WHEREFORE, Qwest respectfully requests that its Opposition Brief be accepted for filing. Dated: June 30, 2005 Respectfully submitted,
