CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE WITH LOCAL RULE 7.1 The undersigned hereby certifies under penalty of perjury that prior to filing the accompanying motion for an order and order modifying the asset freeze and directing payment of certain frozen funds to the Court's registry, a reasonable, good-faith effort was made to confer with the pro se defendant in this matter, William L. Brotherton. On August 5, 2005, the undersigned attempted to contact Brotherton by telephone at his last known phone number, but his number has been disconnected and is no longer in service. On August 5, 2005, the undersigned also sent a letter to Brotherton by Federal Express explaining that the Commission would be filing the motion and order, and requesting that Brotherton contact the undersigned. Federal Express was not able to deliver the letter because Brotherton has moved and did not leave a forwarding address.
